With conduit capacity in excess of 25,000t p.a., the Barton Conduit Tube is produced on a modern integrated rolling mill incorporating automated tube forming, welding, inspection, threading, socket assembly and bundling.
Continuous automatic Non Destructive Testing is used to check the weld integrity and QC checkpoints monitor all tube dimensions to ensure that Barton Conduit Tube conforms to BS 31, BS 4568, BS EN 50086 and BS EN 61386.
Barton Conduit is designed and manufactured to meet the Class 4 resistance to corrosion. Careful selection of raw material steel strip combined with a high quality hot dipped galvanising process, ensure that an excellent corrosion resistant coating is applied to the inner and outer surfaces.
Each standard 3.75 metre length is threaded at both ends and supplied with one solid coupler. Shorter lengths can be supplied upon request. Conduit is supplied in master bundles, measuring 45-50 centimetres in diameter. Plastic end caps are fitted for protection during transportation and storage.
